I would like to bring your attention to the latest guidelines for Managing Eating Disorders for people with higher weight: clinical practice guideline.
My Approach
Throughout my care of clients, I provide a trauma-informed, Health at Every SizeⓇ approach. As such I will refrain from using weight stigmatising language, and instead discuss with my clients how they would like their body to be described in correspondence between their treating team.
Please note: if a client has an eating disorder or one is diagnosed during treatment, I have a treatment boundary that requires the client to engage in regular GP monitoring and engage the services of a psychologist who has specialist training in eating disorders.

Geradline Taggart-Jeewa is a Health at Every SizeⓇ aligned Accredited Practising Dietitian, Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia.
In addition to her training as a dietitian, Geraldine has undertaken extensive postgraduate training, including CBT-E, FBT, ACT, MI and trauma informed dietetics to support her work with clients experiencing eating disorders, disordered eating and body image concerns to find peace with food and their body.
